In March 2024, there was a technical malfunction in the determination of TenneT’s reconciliation prices. As a result, both the peak and off-peak prices for that month were not calculated correctly. TenneT has recalculated these prices and published them on their website. MFFBAS has adjusted the settlement pricing.
TenneT also performed the reconciliation runs for the months of August 2024 to January 2025 (measurement month March 2024 to August 2024) again with the prices adjusted for March 2024. The differences are settled with the relevant balance responsible parties (BRPs). It is estimated that the financial impact per party is limited. TenneT realises that there is an operational impact. Furthermore, TenneT conducted the reconciliation run of February 2025 with the correct, revised prices of March 2024.
Revised calculation method
As of 1 January 2025, the calculation of the reconciliation price has changed. This is based on the total allocation volumes. The technical error of March 2024 cannot go unnoticed in this new functionality, because in the current process TenneT provides monitoring and will therefore signal when the volume determination is not being done correctly. TenneT will also publish the volumes used in these price determinations on the website from February 2025. This allows you to calculate pricing in a transparent way.
Settement pricing adjustment MFFBAS
Based on the new figures from TenneT, MFFBAS has recalculated the historical settlement prices. These figures have been corrected in the 2025-02 report. The previously published reports have been archived. You can find the settlement prices on mijnMFFBAS.
