On Monday 1 July, the meter number check API (topic TS056) went live on the production environment of the Central Access Server (CTS). With this API, suppliers and other service providers (ODA’s) can easily authenticate new customers.
You can use the API to check whether the meter number specified by the new customer belongs to the connection. You carry out this check before collecting measurement data from smart metering devices. The API is an additional service for suppliers and ODA’s. Its use is not mandatory. You can also decide for yourself when you will use the API, after qualification.

MSP Retail Processes
The process around the meter number check API (‘Checking meter number KV’) has been incorporated in version 6.0 of the Market and Sub-Processes (MSP) Retail Processes. This version (in Dutch) was adopted by the GMM MFF on 3 July. The process description can be found in section 3.28 and section 4.40.
